Frequently asked questions
Is the app really free?
Yes. Every look and every tool is free. There are no ads, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.
Do my photos get uploaded anywhere?
No. The app has no internet permission at all, so it is technically incapable of sending anything anywhere. All editing happens on your device. See the privacy policy.
Does the app recognise faces?
No. It locates features — where the lips, eyes and brows are — so it knows where to paint. It does not identify anyone and stores no faceprint. See the privacy policy.
The app says it can't find a face
Face detection needs a reasonably clear, front-facing, well-lit face that is large enough in the frame. Try a photo where the face is not heavily turned away or covered, and avoid very dark or very blurry photos.
The lipstick colour looks weaker than the swatch
That is deliberate. The app blends colour while keeping your lips' own shading and texture, so the result looks like real makeup instead of a flat sticker. Raise the intensity slider if you want it stronger.
Can I combine several products at once?
Yes. Lips, cheeks, eyes, skin and face tools all stack, and the five Looks set a whole combination in one tap — which you can then adjust.
Where do my exported photos go?
To your device gallery, and they also appear in the app under My Looks.
Does editing change my original photo?
Never. The app always writes a new file and leaves your original untouched.
What is "Maximum Quality"?
A second export button that saves at the highest quality setting, producing a larger file. It is free, like everything else.
Can I change the app's language?
The app is available in English, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), German, French and Arabic, and follows your device language automatically. On Android 13 and newer you can set a language just for this app in Settings → Apps → Makeup Studio → Language.
How do I delete my data?
Delete individual items in My Looks, or clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Everything is local. See the data removal page.
Does the app work offline?
Entirely. It never needed a connection in the first place.
